Meet Joanna

I was born and raised in Toronto. I completed my Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Kinesiology at McGill University, followed by a Master’s degree (MPT) in Physiotherapy at Western University, graduating in 2012.

For over 7 years I worked at Sunnybrook Hospital, primarily with the cancer population. I was the physiotherapist for the breast cancer centre and worked closely with patients throughout their cancer journey to ensure the best possible outcomes of care.

In 2020, I made the mid-pandemic move to Vancouver, BC, where I completed Levels 1 – 3 of my manual lymphatic drainage and combined decongestive therapy training through the Dr. Vodder International School. I am also certified in lymph taping.

I am thrilled to be back in Toronto to use my new skill set to better support my community and hometown clients.

Outside of the clinic I am an adventure seeker, constantly thinking about where in the world I want to travel next. I like staying physically active by working out regularly at F45, biking and hiking when my years of sports injuries don’t prevent me from doing so. One of my greatest pleasures is food, enjoyed through cooking new recipes or checking out new restaurants and cuisines around town. I am actively seeking a new pub trivia team to replace my competitive Vancouver based one, Risky Quizness, who I miss dearly. I continue to be a diehard, woefully optimistic Toronto sports fan of the Raptors, Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. My support has never wavered despite often getting my heart broken at playoffs time.
